150 Unit Mid-Rise Multifamily Building

Sparhawk Group provided comprehensive energy auditing and mechanical design services for this 150 unit building located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The project consisted of a lighting retrofit, mechanical systems upgrade, heating distribution upgrade, water use conservation, window replacement and ventilation upgrades.

Sparhawk Group provided a complete mechanical design of a new boiler and domestic hot water plant as well as plans to re-activate the old outdoor air supply unit. The entire project was paid for through a combination of federal grants and owners contribution. Once completed, the project has shown more than 30% savings in gas and electricity.
