Sparhawk Group served as the lead design engineer for a 10 building boiler replacement in Bangor, ME. The actual replacement of the heating and domestic hot water boilers took place during the winter and a mobile, temporary boiler room was used to provide the needed heat and hot water while the building plants were being worked on. The site was previously heated by oil; this new design included gas fired condensing boilers and indirect domestic hot water tanks. In addition to providing a more efficient heating plant, Sparhawk Group worked closely with the site management and mechanical contractor to ensure a smooth and easy transition.
