Maine Judicial Courthouse
The Sparhawk Group was hired to design a new heating plant that would reduce energy costs, fit into the same existing footprint, and cause limited interruption to the day-to-day operations of the courthouse. Sparhawk Group designed a redundant heating plant utilizing condensing boiler technology. A temporary boiler was employed to allow the building operations to maintained while the new heating plant was being constructed.
The final energy savings was greater than originally predicted.
