We will teach the technical skills necessary when the candidate brings core technical competency. Experience in some aspects of our field is required. The ability to communicate and lead teams is essential and must come with the candidate. You must be comfortable talking with owners, senior staff, fellow consultants, contractors and building operations and maintenance staff.
As a Senior Project Engineer you will manage 10+ projects to deliver: i) energy efficiency, ii) comfort and iii) healthy environments in a range of buildings. To deliver these results you will provide our full range of energy engineering services including energy audits, professional design, construction administration, and commissioning. A wide variety of delivered services, building types and clients enables our project engineers to develop mastery and autonomy along with ever expanding skills. The initial focus of this position will be in our multifamily building practice.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication, client management and relationship management skills are required.
Ability to manage 10+ projects and remain on deadline and budget is required.
Technical competence and the ability and desire to expand your knowledge base is required.
Professional experience of 10 years of progressive responsibly and authority is ideal.
Professional Engineering design of HVAC systems for 5+ years minimum
Ability to generate drawings in AutoCad is a requirement
Energy auditing and energy modeling experience
Experience in building operation/facilities management
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated client management skills
Mechanical engineering degree, PE required
Approximately 50% time in a relaxed office environment and 50% time with clients in meeting or site inspections, including active construction sites.
Approximately 10% long day trips
Approximately 10% overnight
